Bottled water (again)

You have heard me preach this before... it's time to stop consuming bottled water.

As usual, Europe leads the way in environmental matters. Get a clue, America!

The "Greener Water" article is from a story by The Associated Press, around March 10th. A bit of Time's article of March 24, 2008 is in the middle. The bottom excerpt is from the April 2008 issue of Reader's Digest. (Double-click the image to see detail.)

Compare the cost of buying bottled water versus drinking tap water -- even versus buying a water filter and drinking tap water. I'll take the tap water.

The April '08 Reader's Digest gave stats regarding cost and environmental impact and they are pretty astonishing.

Seattle banned bottled water, I saw today. Good catch!

we're slowly making this switch... I really don't like the taste of tap water. So, now we're at least using the containers that go in our fridge... hopefully better....
