Ikea badness

ikea clockWell, I raved about how great Ikea is to sell a wonderful clock for just 99c.

It died.

But what did I expect for just 99c ?!

So now the clock that is double-stick-taped to our car's dashboard is an old Casio watch that I've had for at least 10 years. It's a little hard to see, but it does the job.

What item did you get your money's worth out of recently?

Okay, totally not what you'd buy but I purchase a black dress at a local thrift store for 10 cents. Yeap, 10 cents. For a woman the perfect black dress is hard to find and I found mine at the Lutheran Nice Twice Thrift Store. It comes in very handy for several events - especially for a pastor's wife!

Bummer. My Ikea clock has been running (like clockwork!) for the past 10 years... and i've only had to change batteries about 3 times. But i think it was $5, definitely not 99c

Aldi's freezer baggies. They keep closing tight through everything West Africa can throw at them. I should buy stock.

A clock radio for my office at work for only $4 fromt the Salvos 2nd hand shop. Works great & was a bargain.

A McDonald's Cheese burger for $2 that I bought for an experiment (see my blog under the Interesting Stuff label in the sidebar) had fun with it even though I didn't eat it. It was a good experiment for only $2.
