More Auto Show Goodness

Mercedes Benz did not hand out brochures at the show. Instead, they had these little plastic cards, whereby interested parties would need to go to their website to request brochures.

Green? Yes. More costly in the long run? Maybe. (They'll have the postage or shipping of each brochure request.) But they will get "free" marketing info from their intended audience.

Oh Lord, won’t you buy me a Mercedes Benz ?
My friends all drive Porsches, I must make amends.
Worked hard all my lifetime, no help from my friends,
So Lord, won’t you buy me a Mercedes Benz ?

I don't want no stinkin' card...

I hope this was funny. I just ride the trains and I don't care about cars at all. My wife wants to buy into a car sharing program but I know I will hate it because after having had to drive my whole life back in the States, I love never having to drive a car here in Germany! It is so cheap and comfortable and fast and dependable and etc.

Of course, if I had that Mercedes...

It's a love/hate thing for me with cars, Rob.

I'm with you on how it is great to be car-less. (That's easier done in Europe than in America, unless you live in a major city with good public transport, like NYC or Boston.) I try to bicycle whenever I can, to get places & not just for exercise.

On the other hand, I am infatuated with (some) cars. Not many Fords, except for the design concepts.
