Snack of the year

I am attracted to new things. During our two years away from the States, these were at least three of the new products by my favorite mainstream American cookie maker. So of course I had to try them. Somebody had to suffer.

So the Mint Milanos are killer. You gotta try them, if you live in the States and like chocolate and mint.

Disclaimers: 1) These things are addictive. 2) These things are expensive. (I only buy them on sale.)

My friend Shane has resolved to do a blog for 2008. (And I mention that here as a way of holding him accountable.) My new year's resolution is to try whatever new Pepperidge Farm cookies are introduced.

Store-bought cookies of any kind are still second best. Candy is another thing.

However.... let me know if you see a sale on mint milanos ; - )

Glad to hear of Shane's resolution!

have you ever heard the "Scrubs" episode that mentions the "milano"? It doesn't seem to be on youtube.. too bad. There's a scene where Dr. Dorian is talking with his friends Carla and Turk (Turk is black Carla is puerto rican) and Dr. Dorian is enjoying a "milado" cookie.. they correct him in a "you're an idiot" sort of way and he says "mmmmm.... milado, i always thought that was sort of biggotted for a cookie"

it's one of brent and I's favorite lines.

enjoy your milados.

Court,
Sounds like something the boss on "the Office" would say....

You've been tagged:    The idea… it’s a game of tag with a difference, rather than looking inwardly, we look outside ourselves and bless, praise and pray for one blog friend. By participating in this endeavour we not only make the recipient of the blessing feel valued and appreciated, but we are having some fun too. We’re going to see how far the bloggin’ blessings can travel around the world and how many people can be blessed!

There's a Pepperidge Farm outlet store (day-old bread) in Richmond that sells Milanos at a significant discount. I might have to grab a bag of the Chocolate Mint cookies next time I'm there!

In addition to the chocolate cookie mint milanos are some new chocolate covered mint milanos... more expensive than a regular pack and half the cookies. They tasted ok, but definitely make you feel guilt for wasting money. it's probably tastier and cheaper to just buy a good bar of chocolate, melt it and make your own.

Hmmm - I'll have to try the chocolate-covered variety, if only once.

Milado or Milano, either will be fine.

And I wish there was an outlet near me!!

Now THAT'S a New Year's Resolution I can comprehend making :) Try every new Pepperidge Farm cookie!

We have a grocery store that tends to be expensive, but they have great Buy One, Get One Free sales. I wander the cookie aisle every week just in case something from Pepperidge Farms happens to be on a great sale.

I am a PF freak too. I will eat them like crazy. They are the ultimate cookie.

You do realize that you had the most comments left for your cookie post, don't you?

This jumped out at me, too, anonymous. I guess cookies speak to us all.

I haven't personally tried the Milano chocolate mints, but will be rushing over to get some as soon as I can. My husband always brings me the standard Milanos on special occasions...might have to give him another option!
